The Academia de Vela de Andalucia (AVA) sailing base is located at the Hotel Meson de la Molinera "El Santiscal" just 15 minutes from the Golf course 'Arcos Garden' and 20 km from the national park of Sierra De Grazalema. The beautiful city of Jerez de la Frontera is a short drive away and we can arrange visits to the famous Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art where the White Horses demonstrate their skills. Also in Jerez and the nearby town of Puerto de Santa Maria are all the Sherry Bodegas of the principle companies of Tio Pepe, Osborne and Harveys to name but a few. Let us build in these visits to your sailing programme. In addition to its Sherry, excellent seafood restaurants are well worth a visit. The region is famous for 'Flamenco' and performances of guitar and dance abound, during the many festivals held in Arcos and other towns and villages, particularly around Easter and the summer holiday season. A visit to the Bullring and Museum is well worth while, if only to understand the Andalucian attitude towards animals. Whether your interest is to take a look at Properties in Arcos or to enjoy a holiday - the fabulous unspoiled beaches of the Costa de Luz are only 40 minutes away.Here is a short film , the best bit is about the area and the town.
